Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor dataset

Dataset gathering 29 culture-related indicators for 168 European cities in 30 countries with a view to help local authorities measure and benchmark their performance and support the design of targeted policy actions and investment efforts. Indicators capture three main facets of cities' vitality: the presence and attractiveness of cultural venues and facilities (Cultural Vibrancy), the capacity of culture to generate jobs and innovation (Creative Economy), and the conditions enabling cultural and creative processes to thrive (Enabling Environment). Data come from official and publicly available sources – mainly Eurostat, but also the European Tertiary Education Register (ETER), four university rankings (QS, Shanghai, Leiden and Times), the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and experimental data from TripAdvisor.
