We sampled the feces of gulls and bald eagles inhabiting a landfill in southcentral Alaska to explore the diversity of cephalosporin-resistant E. coli found in these hosts, to determine the genetic features conferring antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and to compare bacterial and AMR genetic types to those found in humans.
