A single bulk soil sample from the side of a shallow gully incised in the footwall of the
Wasatch Fault, Levan segment, near Skinner Peaks, Utah, was floated to recover organic
material suitable for radiocarbon analysis. Botanic components and charcoal were identified,
and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. A single charcoal sample from this
location also was submitted for identification prior to radiocarbon analysis.
