Emulators and Inference Chains for "Star-formation variability on the star-forming main sequence during the Epoch of Reionization"

Emulators and inference chains (on mock data and real data) from Bevins, Tacchella and Simmonds 2026 "Star-formation variability on the star-forming main sequence during the Epoch of Reionization". In the paper the authors investigated the constraining power of the scatter around the star forming main sequence, estimated from observations of individual galaxies in several different mass and redshift bins with JWST, on the power spectral density of star formation. The repository constains the inference chains for each of the data sets explored in the paper and the corresponding emulators. With the emulators we include some summary outputs from the hyperparameter tuning. We also include examples of inference on mock observations drawn from the emulator test data set. The chains and emulators for each mass and redshift bin are in seperate files. The corresponding code is available at https://github.com/htjb/SFV-SFMS. See the paper for more details.
