Genome resequencing of P. putida KT2440 strains in use in the laboratory of M. Auxiliadora Prieto. Pseudomonas putida KT2440 resequencing

As part of a larger effort to streamline the sharing of Pseudomonas putida strains within the partner groups that comprise the P4SB project*, we have resequenced the genome of the P. putida KT2440 strain that is in use in our laboratory. Additionally, we have created a mutant of this strain that lacks the pha gene cluster and have sequenced this mutant in order to verify the deletion. Both the KT2440 strain and the pha mutant were sequenced using Illumina HiSeq massively parallel sequencing.* P4SB--From Plastic waste to Plastic value using Pseudomonas putida synthetic biology.
