The genus Mimulus (sensu lato) is a hotbed of evolutionary genetics research, but there has been less focus on some sections within the genus. Members of Mimulus (Diplacus) section Eunanus, with a focus on Mimulus brevipes and immediate relatives, were sequenced at genomic scale for the purpose of establishing phylogenetic relationships, population genetic parameters, and evolutionary history. Sequencing was paired with measurements of postmating reproductive barriers to understand patterns of speciation in the group.
