The Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) created preliminary Damage Proxy Maps (DPM) and Interferograms covering Paktika and Khost Provinces in Afghanistan due to an M5.9 earthquake that occurred on 21 Jun 2022 southwest of Khost. These maps were derived from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) and ALOS-2 satellites operated by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
