Mouse Primordial Germ Cells (mPGCs) are the precursors of gametes specified around E6.25 in the developing mouse embryo. This process can be modelled in vitro using the mPGC-Like Cell (mPGCLC) differentiation protocol. The aim of this study is the detection and profiling of mouse small RNAs via small RNA sequencing of male E12.5 to E15.5 mPGCs and Day 6 SGET mPGCLCs. In particular, this study is aimed at the detection of small RNA length and first nucleotide biases, covering the time window for in vivo piRNA emergence. Examination of all small RNA-mapping profiles in biological duplicates of male primordial germ cell development from E12.5 to E15.5 in comparison with biological duplicates of Day 6 in vitro SGET mPGCLCs
