Comparative analysis of dioecious Amaranthus plastomes and phylogenomic implications within Amaranthaceae s.s.

This project aims to understand evolutionary relationships among dioecious Amaranthus species using their complete chloroplast (cp) genomes. The cp genomes of nine dioecious Amaranthus species and other amaranths were assembled from Illumina short reads, annotated, and analyzed for phylogenetic relationships using maximum likelihood, Bayesian, and network approaches. Files shared here include the cp genomes, alignments, rDNA assemblies, and p-Distance estimates of evolutionary divergence between sequences.
