This series consists of a single file of papers, containing the results of tests of mental age and intelligence quotient (“I.Q.”) conducted on pupils at Denman Public School between 1957 and 1968. The results of the tests for mental age are tabulated to indicate the mental ages attributed to individual, named pupils (whose actual ages are also given) in particular classes at the school, and the classes to which, according to the rationale behind the tests, those mental ages were appropriate.Associated with the file are three printed programmes: two for the official openings of newly-built classrooms, in 1958 and 1961, and one for the Upper Hunter Schools’ Choral Festival on the 4th November, 1960.
