Dataset for Prevalence of Depressive Symptoms Among Secondary School Adolescents in Dodoma and Pwani, Tanzania

This dataset contains data used in the study titled “Prevalence of Depressive Symptoms Among Secondary School Adolescents in Dodoma and Pwani, Tanzania.” The cross-sectional study involved secondary school adolescents from Dodoma and Pwani regions of Tanzania and examined the prevalence of depressive symptoms and their associations with demographic characteristics. Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). The dataset includes anonymized participant responses on depression severity, age, gender, parental living arrangement, and regional background. Data were collected electronically using KoboCollect and cleaned prior to analysis to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
