Compatibilization strategies for mPET (mechanically recycled PET) waste-FTIR data

The purpose of this analysis is the evaluation of different strategies to improve the compatibility of mPET. Compatibilizing strategies followed:1) Compatibilization strategy using different compatibilizing additives at different concentrations (from 3 to 5 phr). Data from this approach are given in: mPET formulated with compatibilizing additives.xlsx 2) Compatibilization strategy using a chain extender at different concentrations (from 0.5 to 1.5 phr).Data from this approach are given in: mPET formulated with chain extender additive.xlsx 3) Compatibilization strategy adding different proportions low density polyethylene (LDPE) from 10 to 30 wt%. Data from this approach are given in: mPET formulated with chain extender additive.xlsx Each formulation was analyzed by FTIR to identify the functional groups present and to evaluate the compatibility between the different components.Prior the analysis, it was homogenized each formulation using a twin extruder machine. mPET waste was also homogenized.
