Screening of differentially expressed microRNAs of essential hypertension in Uyghur Population

To know how microRNA works in hypertension and what kinds of microRNA can be used as specific biomarkers for hypertension are unknown, we screened 257 differentially expressed microRNAs between patients with essential hypertension and the healthy individuals. Eight subjects from Uygur aged between 30-60 years old were recruited. Four subjects were with essential hypertension and untreated (named as hypertension group) and the other four were healthy people (named as Control group). All subjects were fasted before sampling and sampled at the same time in the morning. They were asked to sit still for 10 minutes before blood collection. Totally, 3 ml of peripheral blood was collected from each subject.
