资源简介:
This the artifact database from the Archaeological Assessment of Huntington Reservoir 1982-1983 collection stored at Applied Archaeology Laboratories, Ball State University. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Louisville District archaeological collections were sent to the Veterans Curation Program’s (VCP) St. Louis laboratory in May 2011. The St. Louis VCP laboratory is a USACE, St. Louis District’s Mandatory Center of Expertise for the Curation and Management of Archaeological Collections program, which is staffed through Brockington and Associates, an archaeological contract firm located in Norcross, Georgia. Human skeletal remains (HSR) were removed from the USACE, Louisville District collection by Ball State University. The human remains were brought to the St. Louis archaeological laboratory by USACE staff. Because of the sensitive nature of human remains, it was determined that they would remain at the USACE, St. Louis District archaeological laboratory to be processed and labeled by USACE employees. The procedures employed by the St. Louis VCP to rehouse the archaeological material from the Archaeological Assessment of Huntington Reservoir 1982-1983investigation are discussed in the Artifact Report. The report can be found in tDAR at https://core.tdar.org/document/394463/artifact-report-archaeological-assessment-of-huntington-reservoir-1982-1983.
