Approximate locations for most of the PLSS monuments in Eaton County, Michigan, USA. These locations are typically accurate within a meter +- of the true geodetic location of the monument. This dataset is a compilation of non-survey-grade points that were provided by remonumentation or captured by ECGIS geographers using a combination of GPS and GIS operations. Roughly 20% of existing Eaton County PLSS monuments are not yet included in this dataset. This dataset is a work in progress and should not be used to make decisions that require survey-grade precision.
