Physiological and functional genomic correlates of White Patch Syndrome in Porites lobata

Incidence of coral disease is increasing, contributing to worldwide degradation of reefs. We used Tag-based RNAseq (TagSeq) to investigate the within-colony functional genomic response of corals to white patch syndrome to help elucidate the physiology of this disease. Paired normal (N) and affected (B) tissue patches were sampled from 8 unique Porites lobata colonies (samples 1-8).
