A HA2560 yeast strain, isolated from a municipal wastewater in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, showed to be closely related to a beer S. cerevisiae x S. eubayanus hybrid (Stübiger et al. 2016). In order to determine genetic variations among the hybrid yeasts and influence of different selective pressures on the genome evolution we generated the whole genome sequence of the HA2560 strain.
