This dataset provides a comprehensive, spatially explicit characterisation of fire regimes across Zimbabwe from 2001 to 2024. Derived from the MODIS MCD64A1 Collection 6.1 Burned Area Monthly Global 500m product, the data were processed using Google Earth Engine (GEE) with high-confidence quality masking (Uncertainty < 50). The dataset supports ecological modelling, fire management planning, and climate adaptation studies in southern African savannas. It includes cumulative fire frequency, fire return intervals, seasonal fire distributions, and annual burned area statistics.
