Maternal and Child Health Participation Rates for Key Ages and Stages Consultations

Key Ages and Stages consultations are provided within the Maternal and Child\r\nHealth Universal Service, and include 10 Key Ages and Stages consultations for\r\neach child,  from birth to 3.5 years including an initial home visit and\r\nconsultations at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18\r\nmonths, two years and 3.5 years of age for all children and their families.\r\nAt each consultation, the parent/carer is given an opportunity to discuss\r\ntheir concerns, talk about parenting experiences and learn how to improve the\r\nchild’s health, growth and development.  Key Ages and Stages consultations are\r\none-on-one consultations with the child and their family.\r\n\r\n \r\nParticipation rates for Key Ages and Stages consultations are based on the\r\nnumber of children who were provided with a Key Age and Stage consultation, as\r\na percentage of the number of children enrolled for the age group.\r\n\r\n
