Data and Analysis Materials for "Perceived Relative Deprivation and Aggression among Adolescents: Half-Longitudinal Mediating Role of Inhibitory and Initiatory Self-Control"

This record contains de-identified item-level data and analysis materials supporting the manuscript titled “Perceived Relative Deprivation and Aggression among Adolescents: Half-Longitudinal Mediating Role of Inhibitory and Initiatory Self-Control,” which is currently under review. The study used a two-wave longitudinal design with an interval of approximately six months. A total of 533 adolescents participated at Time 1, of whom 422 completed the Time 2 assessment. Perceived relative deprivation was assessed at Time 1, whereas inhibitory self-control, initiatory self-control, and aggression were assessed at both time points. The deposited materials include: (a) the de-identified dataset in Mplus-compatible `.dat` and SPSS `.sav` formats; (b) Mplus input and output files for confirmatory factor analyses; (c) longitudinal measurement-invariance analyses for self-control and aggression; (d) gender measurement-invariance and multi-group structural comparisons; (e) the basic autoregressive model; (f) the primary half-longitudinal mediation model; and (g) item-level multiple-imputation files and analyses conducted as a sensitivity analysis of longitudinal attrition. Optional Mplus diagram files are also included. The primary structural equation models were estimated using robust maximum likelihood and full-information maximum likelihood to retain participants with partially missing data. Fifty multiply imputed datasets were additionally analyzed to assess the robustness of the findings to an alternative treatment of missing data. Gender and age were included as covariates in the final substantive models. A README file provides the variable order, file descriptions, missing-value coding, software requirements, and recommended sequence for reproducing the analyses. Missing values in the original Mplus dataset are coded as `-999`. The analyses were conducted using Mplus Version 8.3 and IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26. All direct personal identifiers were removed before deposit. Users must not attempt to re-identify participants or link these data with external information for that purpose. Users of these materials should cite both this Zenodo record and the associated manuscript.
