Cocoli 4 hectare plot in a dry forest on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal

The Cocoli 4 hectare plot is located in a dry, semi-deciduous forest on the Pacific side, west of the Panama Canal, which receives approximately 1950 mm of rainfall per year. The forest is estimated to be between 80-120 years old. All trees >=10 mm diameter at breast height were tagged, measured, mapped and identified to species in 1994, 1997, amd 1998.
