This work comes from a effort to evaluate the role of topoisomerase 3a enzyme in Trypanosoma cruzi, the etiologic agent of Chagas disease, a topoisomerase 3a knockout parasite (TcTopo3a KO) was generated, and the parasite growth, as well as its response to several DNA damage agents, were evaluated. The To evaluate the DNA content after methyl methanesulfonate (MMS) treatment a Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) was performed.
