Pan paniscus Genome sequencing and assembly. Pan paniscus

This is a pseudohaplotype of the Pan paniscus sample PR00251 (ToLID: mPanPan1). This includes the maternal autosomes, unplaced sequence identified as maternal, chrX, chrY, and MT. This assembly was generated with Verkko using Pacbio HiFi and ONT UL data. Graph phasing to inform path selection was done using trio information (i.e., Illumina short reads from each parent). The Y chromosome was added to the other maternal sequence for analysis purposes (e.g., as a mapping target) and so both sex chromosomes could be annotated together.
