Successive County Court Rules have required the registrar of the court to keep a record of all verdicts, orders and judgements of the court. The verdict book is the authoritative record of the court.This series was used to maintain a record of verdict on all common law actions. Examples include damages for negligence (motor car collision, master and servant claims), personal injuries, property damage / loss of profit.The pages in the volumes of this series indicate the date of the court sitting across the top and are organised into columns recording the following information: number of case; name of plaintiff; name of defendant; amount; payment into court; date of trial; and, judgement and costs.Each sitting sequence was signed by the Registrar of the Court.
