Uno spazio violento. La dissoluzione dei luoghi in Ragazzi di vita di Pier Paolo Pasolini

In Pier Paolo Pasolini's novel "Ragazzi di vita" we can found many descriptions of Rome suburb landscape. They show either the social condition of citizens (especially young boys) and the physical shape of buildings and other urban facilities, at the time following the second World war, when Rome was interested by a huge wawe of building activity. In this work I try to show the textual structures adopted by Pier Paolo Pasolini to describe different places and social situations, showing how human behaviour can influence physical space, turning it into different humanized places with different kinds of meanings. This work goes back to Place identity theory and to Martin Heidegger's concept of space.
