Although the edible flesh and processing by-products of mango, including the peel and core, are rich in bioactive compounds, their distinct biological effects on host metabolism have not been fully elucidated. In this study, by integrating 16S rRNA gene sequencing and non-targeted metabolomics technology, we systematically analyzed the different pathways through which mango flesh, peel, and core regulate host metabolism in mice fed with supplemental feed.
