Tea plant (Camellia sinensis) is an important economic crop. 'Huangjinya' is an albino tea cultivar with high content of amino acids. However, the leaf color of 'Huangjinya' will change to green with shading treatment. Studying transcriptome of 'Huangjinya' with shading treatment helps understand the mechanism of albino tea cultivars. 'Jinxuan' stands as control in this research.
