These are subject files containing correspondence, reports and transcripts of hearings relating to investigations into complaints brought under the Monopolies Act (No. 54 of 1923). The matters dealt with should be viewed in the context of legislation brought down after the outbreak of hostilities, eg. the National Security Act 1939 and the National Emergency (Stocks of Goods) Act 1941.
