This map provides a detailed land use and land cover classification of the study area, derived from 2024 hyperspectral imagery and 2022 LiDAR data. It features high-resolution mapping of wetland areas, vegetation types, and urban surfaces, with a focus on aquatic vegetation in wetlands. This data set is part of a pilot program, one of seven areas: Schaumburg 2023, Barrington 2024, Bloom 2024, Lake 2024, Palos 2024, Stickney 2024, & Thornton 2024.
