Ouranos Reconstruction – RDPS-CaPA (ORRC) v1.0 / Reconstruction Ouranos – RDPS‑CAPA (RORC) v1.0
收藏资源简介:
Overview Ouranos Reconstruction – RDPS-CaPA (ORRC) version 1.0 is a dataset designed to approximate the Canadian Surface Reanalysis (CaSR) and provide continuity beyond the CaSR period. It is produced from the Regional Deterministic Prediction System (RDPS), with precipitation fields adjusted using the 6-hour and 24-hour Regional Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (RDPA) products generated by the CaPA system. ORRC v1.0 provides hourly surface and near-surface meteorological fields at 0.09° (~10 km) resolution on a rotated regular latitude–longitude grid covering North America, Central America, and nearly all of Greenland, from 2015 to present. It supports near-real-time climate monitoring and is intended for operational climate services, event monitoring, and the routine update of climate indicators without waiting for future CaSR releases. Temporal coverage: 2015-01-01 to presentSpatial resolution: 0.09° (~10 km)Temporal resolution: Hourly and dailyFile format: NetCDF Data provider: OuranosVersion: 1.0 Products Two products are available: ORRC v1.0: The original hourly and daily meteorological fields. ORRC-a v1.0: A bias-adjusted daily product available for daily mean precipitation and daily mean, minimum, and maximum near-surface air temperature. ORRC-a v1.0 is adjusted relative to CaSR v3.2 using the 2020–2024 overlap period. Day-of-year mean corrections are calculated using a 31-day moving window. Additive corrections are applied to temperature, and multiplicative corrections are applied to precipitation. ORRC-a is recommended for applications requiring closer consistency with the historical conditions represented by CaSR v3.2. The original ORRC product may be more appropriate for applications that do not require comparison with a historical CaSR baseline. Variables ORRC v1.0 includes precipitation, near-surface air temperature, dew point temperature, specific humidity, relative humidity, surface and sea-level pressure, downwelling shortwave and longwave radiation, near-surface wind components, wind speed, and wind direction. A complete table of variable names, units, frequencies, and source identifiers is provided in the accompanying technical documentation. Code, documentation, and data availability The ORRC-ORRC-v1.0.0.zip archive contains a snapshot of the source code and documentation associated with ORRC v1.0. The accompanying technical report describes the input data, processing workflow, precipitation adjustment, bias adjustment, evaluation, and known limitations. The complete ORRC and ORRC-a datasets are hosted separately and can be accessed through the Ouranos THREDDS Data Server.
