Here, we took advantage of an unexpected flowering event of a highland arrow bamboo (Fargesia macclureana) and performed a de novo transcriptome analysis for the first time using six different tissues collected at different development stages. Our goal is to gain a deeper understanding into the mechanisms underlying the flowering time control and adaptive evolution of F. macclureana to the complex extreme conditions on the QTP at the transcriptome level.
