IONIZED RELATIVISTIC LINES IN SEYFERT GALAXIES: THE 1ES1615+061 CASE
收藏资源简介:
We propose to observe 1ES1615+061, the only Seyfert 1 galaxy, for which ASCAdata suggest that the unusually intense (EWvirgul590 eV) Kalpha fluorescent ironline is emitted by a substantially ionized relativistic accretion disk. In thisscenario, the historically remarkably variable (about a factor of 30) soft Xrayemission is mainly governed by a change in the accretion rate. The goals of thisobservation are: a) to determine the iron line profile; b) to characterize forthe first time selfconsistently the physical (temperature, ionizationstructure) and geometrical properties of the reprocessing matter. We request 40ks of pn exposure time. Time was already granted to us to observe 1ES1615+061during the AO2 as a priority C target, but the observation was not performed. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
