This is the Sun Detection Dataset, which consists of 4605 images, each annotated with the position of the sun. The dataset is crowdsourced and monolingual, containing only English. It is released under the CC BY 4.0 license and is suitable for object detection tasks. The dataset is split into training, validation, and test sets, containing 4047, 374, and 184 samples respectively. Images have been preprocessed with auto-orientation and resizing, and three versions of each source image have been created with augmentations such as random flipping, cropping, rotation, shearing, and brightness adjustment.
