Meteorological observations were carried out during the over snow traverse once a day at 12:00 GMT. We measured air pressure (Pa), air temperature (Ta), wind direction (WD) and wind speed (WS) with instruments and observed visibility (V), weather (W), hydrometers (Hydro), cloud amount in tenths (N) and individual cloud amount and genus (CL). Observers were S. Sugiyama and K. Fukui.
