Leaf photosynthetic traits of Salix richardsonii, S. arctica and S. reticulata in the High Arctic tundra of Bylot Island (Nunavut, Canada)

In July 2019, we explored leaf photosynthetic traits of three salix species (S. richardsonii, S. arctica and S. reticulata across 29 sites along the Qarlikturvik glacier valley of the High Arctic tundra of Bylot Island (Nunavut, Canada). Among traits, we measured leaf photosynthetic rate at saturated light, carboxylation capacity, stomatal conductance and mesophyll conductance as well as leaf mass area, leaf nitrogen and phosphorus content, and the isotopic signature of 13C, 15N and 18O.
