In recent years the social responsibility of private and public companies have been brought into focus. The workplace must be inclusive so no one is “left behind” in the labour market. But what is the status of the Danish workplaces? This is some of the issues which the yearly surveys on companies’ social commitment will discuss. The survey was conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Employment. The survey includes questions about: - The type of company, number and types of employees. - The company’s personnel policy in regards to employees with young children, senior employees and employees who are suffering from various illnesses or reduced ability to work. - Certain types of employees, such as wage subsidy employees, different types of light jobs, refugees and immigrants and employees with disabilities. - The company’s motives behind hiring disadvantaged groups, retention of sick employees etc. - The company’s attitude towards retaining employees with reduced ability to work, hiring long-term unemployed, persons with reduced ability to work and other disadvantaged groups.
