RNA-seq data were generated for various species in the lizard genus Lerista. These data are useful for transcriptome assembly, genome annotation, and for uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying unique biological aspects of this group, including variable limb morphology and body shape and populations of L. bougainvillii that are oviparous and viviparous.
