Mobilidade e funcionalidade do território na Áreas Metropolitana de Lisboa 2017

The Mobility Survey in the Metropolitan Areas of Porto and Lisboa (IMob), 2017, was designed primarily to correspond to the information needs identified by the Metropolitan Areas of Porto and Lisboa. The collaboration at different levels of these entities was essential for the implementation of this statistical operation. In addition to this motivation and collaboration, IMob is in a process of the development of transport and mobility statistics, in the context of the European Statistical System, with the support of the European Commission (Eurostat). Effectively, the IMob was carried out with reference to the Eurostat Guidelines on Passenger Mobility Statistics, as well as good practices identified in similar international projects. This survey, conducted occasionally, allowed the quantification of trips made by residents in metropolitan areas, despite the fact that several conclusions confirm the existing perception on this issue.
