Comparative Transcriptomic Analysis of Vibrio alginolyticus Va2225 and Its Phage p1018_2_Resistant Strain

This study established a phage p1018_2_resistant strain of Vibrio alginolyticus Va2225 through continuous in vitro selection under phage infection pressure. The resistant strain exhibited a stable phenotype conferring resistance to phage p1018-2 infection. Transcriptomic sequencing was subsequently performed on both the wild-type Va2225 strain and the phage-resistant strain to systematically investigate gene expression changes associated with phage resistance and to explore the underlying molecular mechanisms.
