资源简介:
Ascidian is an invasive fouling species within marine ecosystem. The fouling ascidians usually attach on bivalve aquaculture facilities, which is likely related to the influence of certain chemical factors. To investigate the key chemical factors involved in inducing attachment and metamorphosis of ascidian larvae, researchers conducted targeted amino acid analysis on scallop tissue and adult ascidians. Through screening the results, specific amino acids were identified that significantly affect the behavior of ascidian larvae. These amino acids influence the attachment behavior and metamorphosis of the larvae by modulating their chemical sensing system. This study provides in-depth insights into the chemical sensing system of ascidian larvae. The findings not only contribute to the understanding of ascidian biological characteristics but also offer a potential theoretical basis for the control and management of bivalve aquaculture facilities.
