<p>This survey was conducted by the Los Angeles Times. Municipal &amp; Superior Court judges, public defenders, prosecutors, and a random sample of Probation officers and Police officers, were interviewed July 30-September 25, 1990. Major topics covered: quality of justice; asked of police officers: responsibilities; punishment and sentences; quality of work; community satisfaction.</p>
