Single nuclei from the subthalamic nucleus from Pitx2-Cre mice (Skidmore et al.Mol. Cell. Neurosci. 37, 2008) crossed with mCherryTRAP reporter (Gt(ROSA)26Sor-mCherry-Rpl10a) (Hupe et al. Nucleic Acid Res. 2014) that was used to FACS sort Pitx2mCherry positive nuclei at postnatal day 28 to identify subpopulations. Overall design: Sequencing libraries were prepared from FACS sorted individual nuclei with the Smart-Seq2 protocol (Picelli et al. Nature Methods 2013)
