We compared TCR repertoires used by naive and antigen-inexperienced memory-like CD8+ T cells (aka virtual memory T cells) in young and aged C57BL/6 mice. The goal of this study was to address the hypothesis that naive and antigen-inexperienced memory-like T cells have differential TCR usage in young and aged animals. Our data revealed that antigen-inexperienced memory-like T cells originate from identical T-cell clones in young and aged mice.
