资源简介:
In this study, QTL-seq was used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) that associated with flowering time in winter oilseed rape (B. napus) with and without a vernalization treatment. An F2 population was generated from a reciprocal cross between the winter oilseed rape varieties Cabriolet and Darmor. Individuals from this population were grown either with (VERN) or without (NVERN) vernalization and their flowering times recorded. Whole genome sequencing was performed on DNA extracted from leaf tissue from the parents of the F2 population; Cabriolet and Darmor. To perform QTL-seq, pooled DNA bulks were generated based on the flowering time measurements recorded for the F2 population. An equal quantity of leaf material from each individual plant within a bulk was pooled prior to DNA extraction. For each treatment, two DNA bulks were generated and represented the earliest and latest flowering individuals of the population respectively. Each bulk contained approximately 5% of individuals from the tail ends of the flowering time distribution. This study includes whole genome sequencing data for the winter oilseed rape parent varieties Cabriolet and Darmor, and the four DNA bulks for the VERN treatment (VERN_EARLY and VERN_LATE) and the NVERN treatment (NVERN_EARLY and NVERN_LATE).
