Genomic insight into the genetic structure and population history of Mongolians in Liaoning Province

We collected a total of 38 peripheral blood samples from Mongolian individuals in Fuxin, Liaoning province, northeast China. All participants were inquired to be the self-identified indigenous Mongolian people as having at least three generations and had never intermarried with other ethnic groups. Verbal and written informed consent was obtained from all participants. We used the  Illumina Chinese Genotyping Array (Affymetrix WeGene V3 Arrays) covering 717,228 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to genotype targeted SNPs in Fuxin Mongolians.
