We used genotyping-by-sequencing protocols to sequence a panel of 896 maize near-isogenic lines (NILs) containing randomly positioned introgressions from 18 inbred lines in a B73 background. The parents of the NILs represented 19 of the 26 diverse inbred founders of the maize nested association population: B73, CML103, CML228, CML247, CML277, CML322, CML333, CML52, CML69, Ki11, Ki3, M162W, Mo17, Mo18W, NC350, NC358, Oh43, Tx303, and Tzi8.
