Delegated Decisions are where the Heritage Council of New South Wales has delegated power to staff members at the Office of Environment and Heritage, Heritage Division to make decisions regarding State Heritage Listed items on their behalf.Instead of being tabled at the monthly Heritage Council Meetings, staff can assess, approve or deny lesser matters such as amendments to already approved applications, general maintenance and small additions or alterations such as signage.Delegated Decisions are divided into categories generally related to the section of the NSW Heritage Act 1977 they fall under:S60/S63/S65A Alterations and additions to State Heritage Listed items (see NSW Heritage Act 1977 for more details)S133- Repealed no longer in use (see NSW Heritage Act 1977 for more details)S140/S141/S142/S144; Archaeological (see NSW Heritage Act 1977 for more details)IDA; Integrated Development ApplicationLEP; Local Environmental PlansIndex; The hand-written index that was the first page of each delegated decision folder which staff would fill in when they placed a copy if the completed decision in the folder.Each delegated decision has a number based on year lodged/type of decision/order lodged e.g. 1997/S60/23. The collection was originally held in folders by year and type of decision.
