Bacterial root communities in sugar beets grown in potting soil and vermicompost

We focused on sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) as model plant to compare bacterial communities of four different cultivars with different degrees of susceptibility towards Rhizoctonia solani. This data is an addition to the ENA project No. PRJNA299370. The impact of substrates in the bacterial root communities grown in different substrates (potting soil and vermicompost and a combination of both) was assessed using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing.
