Stationary wave model output and forcing for "Decadal reversal of Eurasian winter temperature trend linked to North Atlantic climate variability"

This dataset provides the stationary wave model (SWM) output and input forcing used in "Decadal reversal of Eurasian winter temperature trend linked to North Atlantic climate variability" (Jun et al., Geophysical Research Letters). The SWM responses are computed with the nonlinear stationary wave model of Ting and Yu (1998). Each experiment file contains the steady response to the prescribed North Atlantic forcing. Fields are stored along a period dimension, where P1 is 1988–2009 and P2 is 2009–2024. Files: swm_ALL.nc — response to the combined North Atlantic forcing (Greenland–Norwegian Sea divergence + Labrador Sea diabatic heating). swm_GNS.nc — response to the upper-level divergence forcing over the Greenland–Norwegian Sea. swm_LAB.nc — response to the diabatic heating forcing over the Labrador Sea. swm_forcing.nc — the input forcing fields: divergence over the Greenland–Norwegian Sea (div) and diabatic heating over the Labrador Sea (heat).
