The prevalence and positions of chromosomal R-loops were estimated in three E. coli strains, namely, wild-type, nusG mutant and nusG mutant with multicopy plasmid bearing gene for RNase HI, following exposure of non-denatured nucleic acid preparations from the strains to sodium bisulfite followed by whole-genome sequencing.
